Voting Rights

The ACLU of Eastern Missouri is dedicated to defending the principles of liberty and equality embodied by the Constitution. Because we are a nonpartisan organization we do not endorse or oppose any candidate or party, but we believe that no civil right is more important in our democracy than the right to vote.

We have created 2008 Missouri Voter Empowerment Cards to help you protect your own right to vote. Keep it handy, and take it with you to the polls on Election Day.

These cards answer the important questions like:

Who can vote?

How much time can I take off from work to vote?

What identification do I need to vote?

They also include tips for avoiding problems on Election Day.

If you have any problems voting on Election Day call 1-866-687-8683 (1-866-OUR-VOTE)
